De La Salle University is the lone Philippine university included in the inaugural Times Higher Education ‘University Impact Rankings’ 2019
DLSU is the lone Philippine university included in the inaugural Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings, placing 301+ in the overall standings. The rankings are THE’s pioneering initiative to recognize universities around the world for their social and economic impact, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
DLSU ranked high in three SDGs, namely: Quality Education (301+), Sustainable Cities and Communities (201+), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (201+).
In addition, the University is ranked in the other SDGs. It ranked 201+ in Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions and placed 301+ in Partnership for the Goals.
The UN SDGs, which include initiatives for inclusive and accessible quality education, promoting innovation, and achieving gender equality, offer a framework for global sustainable development. THE’s University Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that measure the universities’ success in delivering the UN targets.
This first edition includes more than 450 universities from 76 countries. THE used calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship.
